What caster wheel material is best for my floor type?

Polyurethane wheels are ideal for most smooth warehouse floors as they protect the surface and roll quietly. Rubber wheels absorb vibration and work well on rough surfaces. Nylon wheels handle extreme heat and heavy loads but may damage softer floors. Steel wheels suit extreme heavy loads on steel rail tracks. Phenolic wheels offer economical heavy-duty performance on smooth concrete.

What is the difference between swivel and rigid casters?
