3/16 Ceramic Pressure Nozzle Kit For Pressure Pot Blasters

Shops with 15 HP two-stage compressors that cannot sustain the 80 CFM demand of the 1/4″ often run 3/16″ as their standard size. For these shops, it is the largest practical bore available. The 2-pack keeps a ready replacement in stock for when the working nozzle wears out mid-production.

The kit includes 2 ceramic 3/16″ nozzles and 1 nozzle washer. Replace the washer each time you swap nozzles. It seals the nozzle against the pressure pot housing and compresses under installation. It does not seal correctly after removal - always install a fresh washer with each nozzle change.

The 3/16″ nozzle draws 40 CFM at 80 PSI. A 15 HP two-stage compressor sustains this bore in production. If pressure drops during blasting at this size, the compressor sustained output is below 40 CFM - use 5/32″ or increase compressor capacity before running 3/16″ continuously in production.

The 2-pack stages a replacement nozzle before the working nozzle fails. When the working 3/16″ wears, the backup goes in without a reorder delay. This matters most when 3/16″ is the primary nozzle and a wrong-size replacement on the shelf stops production until the right size arrives.

Replace when blast coverage per pass drops, when the bore shows visible widening, or when throughput falls below 400 lbs/hr. Inspect the bore after every 40 to 50 hours of blasting. At 40 CFM and 400 lbs/hr, wear is slower than the 1/4″ but still predictable in regular production use.
