5/16 ALC Steel Siphon Blaster Nozzle

The 5/16″ Large steel nozzle suits maximum-throughput siphon cabinet work: larger automotive parts, panels, and structural components where the 1/4″ Medium is too slow. At 20 CFM, it delivers the highest media flow in the ALC steel individual siphon nozzle range.

Choose steel at the 5/16″ bore when the nozzle is at risk of impact damage. At this large size, breakage of ceramic is more likely than at smaller bores. Steel reduces that risk. If rough handling of nozzles is common in your cabinet, steel reduces breakage-related downtime.

Replace the nozzle alone when only the bore shows wear and the air jet is still serviceable. At the 5/16″ bore, steel wears faster than ceramic - inspect the bore after each extended blast session. If the air jet also shows wear, replace both from a matched kit for correct clearance.

The steel and ceramic 5/16″ nozzles handle the same applications and CFM rating. Steel resists impact but wears faster under media. Ceramic lasts longer under media wear but chips under impact. At the 5/16″ bore, steel requires more frequent inspection for media wear than ceramic.

The ALC 5/16″ steel siphon nozzle pairs with the 5/32″ ALC siphon air jet. The 5/32″ jet is matched to the 5/16″ nozzle bore for correct clearance to drive media vacuum. A non-matching air jet changes the clearance between components and reduces media draw through the siphon assembly.
