5/16 Ceramic Pressure Nozzle Kit For Pressure Pot Blasters

The 5/16″ bore moves 800 lbs/hr of abrasive at 125 CFM. At this throughput, the bore widens faster than any other ALC size. Industrial operations running 5/16″ continuously go through nozzles on a shorter cycle - the 2-pack stages a replacement before the working nozzle fails mid-production.

The kit includes 2 ceramic 5/16″ nozzles and 1 nozzle washer. Replace the washer with each nozzle change. At 125 CFM operating pressure, a worn washer allows abrasive leakage around the fitting that wastes media and can damage the blaster housing threads over time.

The 5/16″ nozzle draws 125 CFM at 80 PSI. A 25 HP or larger two-stage industrial compressor is required. Most shop compressors below 20 HP cannot maintain 125 CFM at 80 PSI - pressure drops during blasting reduce media throughput below the 800 lbs/hr rated output.

Replacement frequency depends on media type and hours. Aluminum oxide wears ceramic faster than glass bead or garnet. At 125 CFM and 800 lbs/hr, inspect the bore after every 20 to 30 hours. Replace when the bore measures noticeably wider than 5/16″ or when coverage drops at standard pressure.

Yes. The kit includes 1 nozzle washer for the first nozzle swap. For operations replacing nozzles frequently, order washers separately to ensure a fresh one is available for each change. Never reuse a washer once removed - it compresses during installation and will not seal correctly a second time.
