ALC 3/32 Pressure Pot Blast Nozzle

The 3/32″ bore suits precise, low-throughput blasting: small fasteners, weld seam rust, tight casting corners, and small brackets where a larger bore removes material too aggressively. At 0.5 sq ft/min, coverage is slow - use this size when precision matters more than speed.

The 3/32″ nozzle draws 7 CFM at 80 PSI. A 5 HP single-stage compressor with a 20-gallon tank sustains this size continuously. Smaller compressors cycle on during blasting, causing pressure drops that reduce blast consistency and media flow rate through the nozzle.

The 3/32″ covers 0.5 sq ft/min at 7 CFM. The 1/8″ covers 1 to 1.5 sq ft/min at 15 CFM - double the coverage at double the air demand. Choose 3/32″ for precision detail on small parts. Choose 1/8″ when you need faster coverage on small to mid-size work.

Fine aluminum oxide (80 to 120 grit) and fine glass bead flow consistently through the 3/32″ bore. Coarse media like 16-grit aluminum oxide or steel shot can clog a 3/32″ bore at lower air pressures. Use fine to medium grit media at this bore size for reliable, consistent flow.

Replace the 3/32″ nozzle when blast output drops without a pressure change, when the bore shows visible widening, or when the blast pattern scatters. At this small bore, check bore shape as well as diameter - uneven wear affects blast accuracy before the diameter change becomes obvious.
