The STP100 is a high-temperature tapered silicone masking plug designed for 1/8"-diameter holes and threaded ports. It is used during powder coating, e-coat, and anodizing to prevent coating from entering critical bores, creating a clean surface ready for hardware or assembly without rework.

The STP100 is sized for holes with a nominal diameter of approximately 1/8" (0.125"). Its tapered geometry allows it to self-align and create a friction seal across a slight range of bore sizes near that nominal dimension. The STP100 is rated for continuous oven temperatures up to approximately 500°F (260°C), covering standard powder coating cure schedules of 375°F–400°F. The plug will not melt, deform, or bond to the bore surface, allowing easy removal after cooldown.
