1010P Epoxy Powder Stripper (Contains Methylene Chloride) 55 Gallon Drum
CCS's 1010P Epoxy Stripper is a robust liquid paint and powder coat stripper that's setting new standards in the industry. It is consists of both methylene chloride and acid additives. 1010P is your a great addition to you arsenal when removing tough coatings especially on European rim s. 1010P does not remove chrome or nickel plating
1010P Striper is the fastest acting of our methylene chloride based strippers with an acid activator. This immersion stripper is our most popular stripper when it comes to removing tough coatings such as epoxy and clear coat. It is very similar the the PS-2L The typical strip time is between 5-20 minutes making it a quicker and more cost effective alternative to media blasting and operating a burn off oven.
1010P is specially designed to remove even the thickest and strongest coatings from ferrous and non-ferrous metals as well as silicone at room temperatures without using harmful hydrofluoric acid. It is not designed to be used on magnesium.
1010P is formulated for the purpose of an immersion process or a dip applications. Always use this product at room temperature . Stripping times may vary from product to product depending on the y type and thickness of the coating along with other environmental conditions. While agitation is not required, this operation may enhance the stripping process. Air agitation is not preferred as this may accelerate evaporation. After stripping the project should be rinsed and the chemical removed.
When not in use store unused chemical and used strippers locked in a well ventilated and cool location. Keep the stripping chemical in an upright poly or stainless container with a lid to prevent evaporation and to promote safety. Avoid all possible sources of ignition and keep away from oxidizers.
Local municipalities and state government regulations dictate disposal procedures For more information contact your local landfill, disposal companies or trash collector and reference the the SDS/MSDS /TDS for this chemical ( contact us for a copy)
- At times it may be necessary to strain exces powder from the chemical to improve the effectiveness and life of the product.
- Room temperature is defined as 50° – 85° F; however optimal usage is between 60° and 75° F. Do not heat the stripper as it does not improve performance and only increases the rate of evaporation.
- While 1010p can be used on all types of metal (and silicon), softer metals such as aluminum should not remain in the stripper for excessive amounts of times as this may cause pitting and etching of the surface.
