Our rim strip is now available once again, This is CCS's strongest and most potent liquid paint and powder paint remover yet. This is formulated with Methylene chloride and potent acid additives. Rim strip is the ultimate solution for rapid stripping in a dip tank or emersion systems . This is perfect for tackling the most resilient coatings in rims in general. Rim Strip does not remove chrome or nickel plating although it is not for use on Magnesium.
Product Description:
This mix of Methylene Chloride and Hydrofluoric acid is the strongest and most effective powder coat stripper in our arsenal. This stripper is designed to remove the toughest coatings and is a perfect solutions for stripping rims like BMW. It can be used on steel, aluminum and is not intended to be used on magnesium products.
Our Rim Strip is formulated for an immersion application. Always use this product at room temperature and in a well ventilated area. Use protective equipment such as aprons, Respirators and chemical gloves to prevent personal hazards such as inhalation or skin burns. Stripping times may vary from project to project depending on the thickness or the coating chemical makeup of coating s or other environmental factors such as temperature of the environment.

Suggestions:
- At times it ma y be necessary to strain excess powder from the chemical. This may improve effectiveness of the chemical and prolongs its life expectancy
- Room temperature is defined as 50° – 85° F; however optimal usage is between 60° and 80° F. Do not heat the stripper as it does not improve performance and only increases the rate of evaporation.
- To prolong the life of this chemical keep covered even when in use as evaporation occurs in part when fumes leave the chemical.
- Maximize your operations - Each 55 gal drum of Rim Strip effortlessly removes coatings from roughly 100 rims, spanning an impressive 500 square feet
- Rim Strip is your go to for Aluminum and steel. Rim Strip is not recommended for use on fiberglass, magnesium or wood.

- Enhance your setup with stainless steel or polyethylene strip/dip tanks which is recommended for optimal use with Rim Strip. In order to prolong the chemical life of this stripper we recommend always use a lid on your tank and use when using and when not using the stripper to help mitigate evaporation.
- Ensure perfect prep with a simple rinse or an alkaline pH rinse tank (pH >7, <9), easily monitored with pH strips and maintained with TSP or baking soda for optimal surface neutralization prior to new coating application.
- Rim Strip is super durable which offers a robust 2 year shelf life even with freezing temperatures, If this chemical freezes it may separate. If this occurs, it is not ruined, it just requires remixing once it is thawed.
